1.Scope and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions govern the application for, issuance and use of the Banco Plata Crypto Card (the "Card"), as well as the associated Crypto Account. By applying for or using the Card, the Customer fully accepts these conditions.
2.Eligibility and identification (KYC)
- Be at least 18 years old and reside in Mexico.
- Complete the identity verification process (KYC/AML) with a valid official document.
- Banco Plata may reject applications or limit features if verification is not completed.
3.Fees and costs

4.Welcome promotion
Promo: initial crypto balance of up to $500,000 MXN in equivalents and 2x cashback on all purchases, for applications approved before November 1st, 2026. The 2x cashback is credited in crypto (USDT) within 5 business days after each purchase, with a monthly cashback cap of $10,000 MXN. Promo cannot be combined with other campaigns. Subject to credit approval.
5.Cryptocurrency operations
- The Card allows holding balances in USDT and other supported cryptocurrencies, in addition to Mexican pesos.
- Digital assets are not deposited with IPAB nor guaranteed by any state fund; they are kept in secure custody through multisig wallets with custodian partners.
- The crypto → MXN conversion for Card payments is executed at the provider's exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
- The blockchain network may apply network fees (gas) not controlled by Banco Plata.
6.Market risks
Cryptocurrencies are volatile assets: their value may rise or fall significantly over short periods. The promo crypto balance ($500,000) is a maximum MXN equivalent at the time of crediting; its subsequent value in pesos depends on the market. Banco Plata guarantees no returns whatsoever.
7.Operating limits

Limits may be adjusted based on verification level and Customer history.
8.Security and custody
- Cold custody for the majority of assets; hot wallets secured with multisig.
- The Customer must safeguard their credentials; authenticated transactions are considered valid.
- If you suspect fraud, notify support immediately to block the Card.
9.Liability
Banco Plata shall not be liable for losses arising from: (i) crypto market volatility; (ii) Customer errors when providing wallet addresses; (iii) failures of third-party blockchain networks; (iv) force majeure. Banco Plata's total liability is limited to the fees actually charged to the Customer in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10.Amendments and governing law
Banco Plata may amend these terms, notifying the Customer 30 days in advance through official channels. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. The Customer may cancel the Card at any time at no cost.
